We are headed off to the Philippines in next few days from Thailand due to a family bereavement. What would be the best and cheapest way to get $ 3,000 US in 100$ bills?

Go from bank to bank and buy.

I always have same problem when traveling to Manila and Cambodia.

Most i could find in 1 bank was $1000.

In BKK you can try super rich, they usually have little more but i doubt you be able to get $3000 from just 1 branch

Bangkok Bank will have a large amount of USD on hand at any tourist location. The head office on Silom road will be able to meet your needs without notice.

If that is not convenient, please call or visit your local Bangkok Bank branch. They can arrange to have the cash on hand very quickly.

Thanks in the end I just changed up at one of the FEX desks at the airport and got a reasonable rate and US 100 $ bills.
