Hello all,I've been teaching English for 9 years in South Korea. This August I plan to move to Thailand and look for employment in Thailand. Yes, I already have a university degree. I been using anE2 visa (teaching visa) here in Korea. When I go to Thailand, I will also be bringing my wife and our 2 children. The wife and children are Thai citizens, so no problem with them coming into the country. Which visa would be best for my situation?

A Non Imm O Visa based on having a Thai Wife.

A single would give 90 days. A multi would give up to 15 months but would require you leaving the country every 90 days.

Once in Thailand you could get 12 month extensions from Immigration if you qualify financially.

(6) In case of marriage with a Thai lady, the husband who is an alien must have an average annual income of not less than 40,000 baht per month or a money deposit in a local Thai bank of not less than 400,000 baht for the past 2 months for expenses within a year.

You would need a Work Permit to work.
