16 Pakistanis rounded up for allegedly forging passports for sale

BANGKOK: -- Police yesterday rounded up 16 Pakistanis for having allegedly forged passports for sale.

Metropolitan Police Commissioner Pol Lt Gen Santhan Chayanon told a press conference that the 16 were arrested at rented rooms on Soi Charoen Krung 82 in Bangkok's Bang Kholaem district in the morning.

Santhan alleged that the gang was led by Muhammad Wagus, 23, who was also arrested.

He said police seized 6 fake Iran passports and 13 Pakistani passports and 13 photos of other people who apparently hired the gang to make them fake passports.

Santhan alleged that the gang charged its customers Bt200,000 each for a fake passport.

One apparently resembling Thaksin

Hmmm, who wants Pakistani or Iranian passports?

Possibly selling to Al Queda?

Guess to travel with Naam Kaeng from Mullah Land to LOS, sure Brown sugar too, pornographic material isn't allowed there....how come ya dance sooo good?

Very sick is that the ordinary Thais,as well as the so called educated, see them as a farlang, doesn't really matter how long we've been there and teaching their kids, paying tax and ate their smelling Somtham Lao style....

Looks like all Indians and Pakistanis can work in Thailand without a WP, just making some nasty Rotri, fat and nasty, at a good place 500 baht, or more. Couldn't Thais do that too? What about the laws? Better to get some good food in my stomach, instead of complainin'

about the worst food at all. ALLAH already forgave me and sent me an ANGEL.

But how far do these things get them?

Maybe if the traffic cops stop and check your papers you might get by with one of these, but passports get scanned at border crossings, so I'd think a forgery would set off an alarm right there and then.

Possibly selling to Al Queda?

for a thai passport usely you get 60000 Baht, and no,.... it is not for a terrorist group..., it is just about/for prostitution.

Hmmm, who wants Pakistani or Iranian passports?

A MUSLIM PERHAPS

why are they faking them as thai are about the best to get fake any tning including love

Hmmm, who wants Pakistani or Iranian passports?

A MUSLIM PERHAPS

Sorry i do not follow your train of thought.

Why would a muslim want a fake passport of Pakistan or Iran?

Muslim from which country?

Might it not be the case that these passport were being ''manufactured '' here in Thailand and then shipped back to the country they were claiming to be issued from?

If we look at the states involved none of them could be reasonably claimed to be ''Bastions of freedom.''

Possibly those dubious documents were intended to assist political dissidents leave a repressive regime.

There however is no excuse for the deceit, however when the Israeli secret service used manufactured documents in their recent murder and terrorist activities no-one was brought to justice.

Should not the accused in Thailand be allowed the same privilege as the Israeli terrorists were ?

If it takes 16 Pakistanis to forge a passport how many Thai polititions does it take to............ na lets not go there :)

Love the strides in the picture.. Gives a whole new meaning to the Simon Cowel look, oh banana!!! Regarding the Pakki's Great the Thais caught them, let's hope they get locked up for a very long time at The Bangkok Hilton and don't see the light of day for a long time to come. The Pakki's seem to be taking over Thailand, down in Phuket right now and walking along Patong seafront last night noticed all the shop staff were Indians or Pakki's trying to sell their sub standard wears to unsuspecting Aussie tourists...
