Cover Letter For Settlement Visa

Featured Replies

Hello there.

Last question i hope now before we apply,we have all the relative paperwork now for our application and i am confident it will be enough evidence to show our 2 year relation in full.

Just been thinking about the cover letter and how important the wording is in this and just how long it should be? Maybe im worrying a little to much about this matter?just looking for some b/ms opinion on this subject and what sort of cover letter you guys submitted with your application?

Thanks once again for all your valuable advice, difficult to gain elsewhere.

Kind Regards

Coding errors removed.

Mine was one side of A4. Just a brief letter explaining the visa application, current circumstances and fact that I would be sponsoring the application. It was submitted late last month so don't know if it's successful or not yet, but that's what we did.

I suggest:-

A brief introduction of the applicant and yourself and a brief history of your relationship.

Brief clarification of any answers on the VAF form that you feel need it.

List of documentary evidence supplied, with a brief explanation/clarification of any documents that you feel need it.

Keep it as brief as possible; the ECO doesn't want to, and wont, read a novel! One or two sides of A4; three at most.
