bina Posted June 30, 2005 Share Posted June 30, 2005 well, as i;ve mentioned on general forum (why doesnt my thread move to here??), i finally got the books i ahd ordered ages ago... the proverb book is really cool...very 'chowna' (farmer) oriented... where did the thai sayings thread go to? finally i can add a whole bunch (can i scan and post pages? cause this book is in issaan (lao, etc) dialect with vocab translations, etc.and the transliterations are difficult ; my thai guys got a kick out of it, especially cause it has the 'issan' words w/thai translation also, the dict. has many pages devoted to how each area pronounces the words; dialect explanations, regional diffferences etc (in thai of course)for northeast thailand so meadish, richard w. et al might really enjoy this tome...
