Night Light For Baby

Featured Replies

thx. looking for something simple that can be plugged into an outlet.

There are several department stores with dedicated baby departments.

I believe you are close to Emporium - so go to the 4th floor of the department store. You should be able to find a light there. Failing that go to somewhere like Home Pro Plus at Ploenchit BTS station (Wave Place Building) and look in the lighting department.

All Central department stores should have them, although the variaty may be a bit limited. Just ask a salesperson in the section witth all the lights and little lamps and They should direct you in the proper direction.

Probably anywhere that sells lights or bulbs.

Tesco and HomePro certainly have them, low power LED units just enough to avoid standing on the tot :)

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Babys do not require night lights, so for what purpose do you need a light? Knowning that might help a sales clert find the right light for you.

My 16 year old, my 14 year old and my wife all require night lights bright enough to read by. I can't find a dark bedroom is this house in which to sleep. I'd advise not to get the tot started.

I'm easily amused, but that made me laugh out loud.

Well, the benefit of the night light is that it makes it easier on the adult when one has to go into the room. One need not fiddle about for a light switch. Turning on a large light can wake a sleeping kid. A child that wakes suddenly at night all alone in a room is comforted by an immediate recognition of the surroundings. A small light source achieves that.

Although I didn't use a nightlight once I got past 4 or 5 I think, I recall, one brother told me not to dangle my feet over the bed because there was some creature that would come out and rip them off. I remember that it was in our first house so I was probably 3 or 4 at the time. (This was better than my friend, who's brother told him a vampire would sneek in through the attic and out through his closet. He was one nervous kid and had nightmares until his early teens. The funny thing is that he eventually became a goth, so go figger.) When I was about 7 or so, my oldest brother decided it would be great fun to scale the outside of the house up to my window and start making the type of noise that would terrify a sleeping child. I didn't revert to a night light, but I left my bedroom door partly open after that, in the event I needed to escape. So please do not make the call on a night light.
