rabbitoh Posted July 2, 2005 Share Posted July 2, 2005 my wife was asking me about this the other day..and i have no idea.. my wife has permanent residency and has been asked by her family if it would be possible for her sister to migrate to australia..i remember years ago they had the family reunion scheme..but remember reading somewhere that that visa doesn't exist anymore.. would it be difficult getting a visa for the sister n law to migrate to australia... A friend of mine managed to get a visa for her sister only because she has a very sick daughter and needed help to look after her and mind her other son. I enquired some time ago for my wifes family and the Gov looks at how many of the family are still in thailand and if more in thailand than Aust its a no go. If the sister does not have skills and or education to fill vacancies in Aust the only way that I know how to get her here is on a marriage or engagement visa. Got any good mates?
