I had some fantastic trigger point massage at the St Louis in BKK but am now back on Phuket. Can anyone recommend one on Phuket (please don't bother with the extortionately priced Evason Spa ...)

Thanks :)

Trigger point massage is very effective. Not a lot of practioners in LOS as far as I can tell.

As a former therapist who studied and practiced in TP then I thought I would point out its not hard to learn and practice on yourself with a Theracane.

A Theracane is a specially curved self therapy stick which can be purchased on Ebay for about $35.

Then buy a Trigger point therapy manual by Claire Davies. It's considered the bible of TP practice and very easy for the novice to use. Just find the hotspot that is tight on your body and the diagrams indicate the trigger points for that area. Very easy to understand illustrations. I think about $22 USD

For about $60 USD then you have all you need to be self sufficient.

When I used to massage and treat people for sometimes 8 sessions a day then I would get sore muscles and never enough time to trade a massage with someone else. Use of the theracane kept me in top form.

When you go to get a massage it's one hour and your gone. With the Theracane you can revisit the sticky muscle fibers many times during a day. The goal of any massage is to free up sticky muscle fibers and promote circulation of waste products that are bound up. Very effective and cost efficient method of doing just that.

I always travel with my Theracane. There is very little I cannot address on myself.
