Hi all, I don't know if it's the weather here but I'm having difficulty storing my coffee beans.

I usually buy 250g bags and seldom do they keep for over a week. I've tried several methods already but to avail e.g., seperate the beans into smally air tight bags, into different air-tight containers, freezing half the lot, etc. A 250g bag usually lasts me 2 weeks, but when I can, it's a waste.

Help!! :)

As I understand it contact with air is the real killer for your coffee. I keep mine fresh by just slicing a corner off the vacuum packed packet to open it and then shaking the coffee out gently each time I make a pot. I then squeeze out the small amount (if you are careful!) of air the has entered, fold over the corner a couple of times and then close it with a bulldog clip. The bag then goes back in the freezer. This works just fine for me.

Best of luck with enjoying fresh coffee. :D
