Could I have guidance on finding a shop and maybe a brand /model of mattress in the C.R. area.

I want a western type of firm mattress In queen size

A reasonable idea of what to expect to pay would also be helpful

Like most things here it is all new and the "back home "experience is useless.

I just saw your masage,and if you know hwere Makro is-then just on the other site of the road,there is a bic shop,where you can get all you want.

There is a big double furniture shop on the east side of the superhiway north of the YMCA. I bought a Serta or Sealy king there a couple years back--16,000 bt. Don't skimp, you spend !/3 of your life on one.

Just south of that shop there is a furniture shop where I bought a king size rubber mattress for about 5000baht.

It is very heavy and solid but I get a good night's sleep.

The guy speaks English and delivers all around Chiang Rai.

Yeah...the shop across from Makro has everything from the 1000B model to the 20,000B model...
