I've been lurking for a while but i think this is one of my if not the first posts.

Anyway. I've been in Dubai for a while and met my Fiance (Filipina) here about 7 years ago. I'm planning on going back to the UK and would like the Mrs to come with me on a fiance visa, moving on to Leave To Remain once we've hit the registrar's office back in blighty.

What i would like to know is when submitting the folder with all the pics / letters / money transfers this way and that / etc. Do i put the originals in or just copies?

I ask this as obviously with all the pictures and so on, they represent memories and what have you that we would like to keep, and so if we don't get them back, then that's going to mean i need to get some copying done somehow.

They only accept original documentation and they are returned when the process is finalised.

You will get your photos back, but if you want to ensure getting bank statements etc. back then it's a good idea to submit copies as well.

i would keep a copy of everything just as a back-up and for reference for the next time .

You get every thing back in your folder , maybe out of place because they have been taken out and examined, you will not get back your Introduction letters. How you meet and your history.
