I'm considering doing some boating/cruising around the islands with my family, and came to consider what options are open to me.

I'd like to have a 25 to 30 feet cabin cruiser.

It should be fitted with toilet, microwave, fridge and entertainment system.

I hold a european permit for sail and motorboats in seawater up to 9 meters.

Are these permits accepted in Thailand?

Then I know how much such cruiser costs back home - are there local "value" boat manufacturers in Thailand or nearby?

Are there other options than to buy?

Could it be cheaper to rent it out?

How much does it typically cost in Thailand to have a place in the harbor and have the boat serviced?

Maybe some members own a boat and can share their experience?
