I need an extension of my business visa (non-immigrant 'B' multiple entry). I do not work in Thailand therefore I do not have a work permit but do spend most of my time here. I have foreign income and a bank account in Thailand, have been residing legally here for three years, but do not need to work here. My Thai business visa was issued at the Honorary Royal Thai Consulate in Calgary, Canada, last year and is due to expire on August 4. The latest visa stamp, I am permitted stay in Thailand until next September 12.

For the moment I do not need a work permit, but do need my business visa renewed before I go to France on August 19. Please let me know if my visa can be renewed.

Many thanks in advance

You do not present any justification for an extension of your current visa entry.

How have you been residing here "legally" for the last three years? Do you actually have extensions and/or justification for extension of stay?

A new non immigrant B visa will normally require having a work permit or pending job/full company paperwork when issued in the immediate area.
