Ram Performance

Featured Replies

had the misfortune to have to go to ram on saturday, by the time i got there the pain was unbelievable, fortunately i was seen to in minutes, felt like hours, medicated up, whipped into theatre, in bed for 11' o' clock, kidney stones, avoid them at all cost, if you can.apparently one of the biggest causes is dehydration, so be warned at least 2 litres of fluid a day.

ram were certainly up to scratch again, thought they were a bit expensive , but at the time i didnt care, food still crap,

but overall excellent.

any of you who enjoy an uncomfortable sensation, stick an 18 inch tube down your bell end under sedation, and retrieve a day later without sedation, fun.:o

Glade to have you back. Sorry for your discomfort. Ram has excellent service, yes a little high but still cheaper than back home. Their food is better than most hospitals but defiantly not 5 stare dining.

When I was in Chiang Mai Ram last week I used 'Meals on Wheels' most days. Much better than eating hospital food

Ouch!!

Pleased to hear you got the problem sorted, Doppa.

Yep, the 2 litres of water is important if you are not a drinker......regular drinkers should down much more, to compensate for the dehydration that alcohol causes.

Not drinking enough water often gives a false reading to fasting blood sugar levels too.

Happy to see you're back in working order.. though a little bit too much information. ;)

which part?:licklips:

I had a physical at Ram and service was good.

But what was not good was the casual suggestion that I needed a operation right away on a condition that had been that way for six years and Two Specialists back in Canada had recommended I not have as long as I could stand the pain. They had told me that the procedure did not always work in fact %15 of the time it did not work and you were left with the pain and no mobility. The operation was to fuse the bones in my ankle. My ex's mother had it and it worked great for two years and them it didn't.

I post this to say yes the service can be great but it might not be the service you need.

and at the other end of the argument was when i knew i needed a hip replacement last year, the doc persisted in asking me whether i wanted this done now, i guess it depends who you get and who you see, like i suspect in most cases around the world across a lot of different businesses.
