MidoriApple
Khun Gerd: JAGOTA is a trading company, I guess they don't do production themselves. At first, I would want to call this Co. after you have instructed me, but when I also got info from Ohpont, guess their price would be higher in comparison, imported products! Best is I must try more details both! Thank you indeed, khun Gerd.. Khun Ohpont: that is very useful information for me, price is so much cheaper. I will contact this address this very soon. Thank you very much, you are so kind.
frenchfarangjomtien
Hi, Is FLEUR DE SEL also produced in Thailand ? Thanks.
MidoriApple
Hi, Is FLEUR DE SEL also produced in Thailand ? Thanks. Yes, have founded two producers so far, one is Thai and another is here (above) In here seems much better deal since the Thai one quoted me price almost similar to EU's prices.. (Euro.19-20) Not worth buying. Have contacted this above producer already, in waiting now for quotation, prices can be different from info here since it is up to quantities needs. Anyone knows more other producers? Just in case, this one will be same expensive price
theseahorse
What are you using it for? The Thai sea salt is produced in a similar way to Sel Gris, but it's very different to Fleur de Sel. I normlly pick up a sack each time I'm passing Samat Songkralang and use it to cure fish, it works very well and it's SO cheap. But it's not a replacement for real Fleur de Sel. They have Thai sea salt. Not Fleur de Sel!
MidoriApple
Ummm.. Interesting, theseahorse.. You may be right, I am going to admit this.. I am googling for Fleur de Sel's definitions now, did before in English but now doing it in Thai as "dok gruea" <-- sorry, my BB has no Thai word), what I found is so interesting.. Thai flower of salt is about 7 baht/kg!! Ohlala..then, must be something wrong Honestly, I just heard of this FdS not so long, and not yet seen its difference to normal sea salt. Have bought a French one from Carrefour for tasting, but need to taste more from others also. Will see... I become confusion this time. Thanks for educate me anyways, khun theseahorse/ cheers EDIT: for Thai word Edited August 9, 2010 by MidoriApple
