Hello -

Quick questions (that I think I know the answer for - but just wanted to be sure)

The ideal plan is to move and work in Thailand for 6 months (Jan to June) as I can do all my necessary work via the internet.

During these initial six months - I wanted to see if I could possibly expand into Bangkok (we bring bands from all over the world to the United States - there is some interest of bands wanting to play SE Asia - want to check out concerts/shows in Thailand first)

Is there a way that I could get a non-immigrant visa for 6 months (or maybe 3 months w/ a renewal?) - using my own business?

Or will I have to get a 60 day tourist visa and continually renew / complete visa runs etc

Any help is greatly appreciated !

Thanks!

Apply for a multiple entry non-immigrant "B" visa using your business and see how it goes. With that visa you would be able to remain in Thailand for up to 15 months by making 90 day border runs. You cannot legally work in Thailand without a work permit.

The OP would still need an invitation from a Thai entity to apply for a Non-imm B, just using his own business would not be justification enough to get a Non-imm B visa issued.

To get a WP, this needs to be "sponsered" by a Thai entity.

Under the circumstances described, unless the OP tries to get a business relationship together with a Thai company as a vehicle for both an Non-imm and WP, the OP will be on toursit visa's and having to work illegally
