Need Advice On Wedding Bells And Travel

Hi

My GF was lucky to get a Visa last year on her second attempt after almost giving up and we addressed all their issues.

We are planning on applying for another 6 month visitor Visa in december with the aim of my Girlfriend coming to the UK in March. (Your allowed to apply for the Visa up to 3 months before the holiday)

My Questions are

1. I am thinking of getting a return flight for her with thai Airways 6 months inadvance, Is she is not granted a Visa, are you able to get a Refund on the ticket, Or any other airlines that you can get a Refund.

2. Can anyone Explain the in's and outs of of what if i was to pop the question, We have been together now for 3 years and i have read about special visa's which gives you extra time in the UK if you where planning on getting married, Mind you , Thats a big step and not jumping into it unless i was totally commited

my memory might fail me but what i remember is that the airline asked to see my wifes visa before they issued her ticket .
