Being married to a Thai is ground for a (multiple) non-O visa good for 90 days per entry. This can be extended to 1 year if you have an income of 40,000 a month (can be from abroad) or have 400,000 in a bankaccount in Thailand in your name. In botth cases it must be your money, not your wife's.

A multiple would give you an unlimited number of entries for 90 days during the period the visa is valid. It would give you some extra time till you can meet the requirements.

A Multi Entry Non Imm O Visa will give you up to 15 months but would mean leaving the country every 90 days.

A 12 month extension of stay from Thai Immigration based on having a Thai Wife would give you 12 months without having to leave the country.

2.18 In the case of a family

member of a Thai(applicable only to parents, spouse, child, adopted child or child

of his/her spouse):

Permission will be

granted for a period of

not more than 1 year at a time.

(6) In case of marriage with a Thai lady, the husband who is an alien must have an average annual income of not less than 40,000 baht per month or a money deposit in a local Thai bank of not less than 400,000 baht for the past 2 months for expenses within a year.

Thank you very much, it is now a lot clearer.
