Hi there- The missus and I are off to the Uk next week. She has a 6 month visitor's visa, and now wants to visit her friend in France. She has been there before on a Schengen Visa, but this time it is too late to apply at the French embassy here in Bkk. Does anyone know if it is possible to apply in London?

As far as I can make out you need to have a residency permit to apply for most (all?) embassies (which she does not have).

Any help in this matter will be most appreciated.

Unfortunately most, if not all, Schengen members have changed their requirements and one now has to apply in one's country of residence.

If you are an EU national then the procedure is very straightforward and it may be possible to obtain one from the French embassy in Bangkok before you leave; try contacting them.
