PMK
Hi, I don't play computer games, but do watch quite a bit of video on my computer. My LG monitor has 2ms response time (and also a streaky screen after 2 years of use). I'm considering a new Samsung B2330 23". The specs are: Native Resolution: 1920 x 1080 Brightness: 300 cd/m2 Contrast Ratio: DC 70,000:1 (1,000:1 Typ) Response Time: 5 ms View Angle: 170 / 160 (Horizontal / Vertical) Any experiences or opinions, especially on the different response time? garyh
I have the 2350 and it is very good for video. It is 2ms so would be a little more expensive.
Pib
And article from CNET states, "A maximum of a 12ms-to-15ms response time across the spectrum is required for gaming or viewing television and movies without ghosting or streaking." End partical quote. IMHO, probably at 10ms and below you are getting into the area where it makes very little to no difference for the great, great majority of applications. And of course, response time is only one aspect of how good/clear a monitor's display is. Edited August 12, 2010 by Pib
