British Child Molester Gets 42 Years In Thai Jail

I thought the UK was one of the few countries that actually upheld the thai judicial sentance, meaning, if he got transferred to UK after 10 years he would still be expected to serve the remaining 32 years, or at least a majority of them? Any thoughts on this?

IT, this is the best I can come up with, let me know how it turns out!

500 grams / 1 lb of pumpkin chopped

30 grams / 1 oz of butter

1 medium onion finely chopped

1 clove of garlic crushed

3 cups of boiling water

2 teaspoons of chicken stock powder

1 tablespoon of tomato paste

1 tablespoon of grated parmesan cheese

Chop the pumpkin into large cubes discarding the skin and seeds. Sweat the onion and garlic in butter in a large saucepan until the onion is clear. Add the pumpkin and garlic and fry for a minute. Add three cups of boiling water, the chicken stock powder and tomato paste, cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until the pumpkin is tender. Rinse a blender in boiling water to warm and blend the soup mixture. Serve sprinkled with grated Parmesan cheese

As far as i'm aware the British Authorities are quite unsympathetic to sentences dished out to their nationals jailed abroard and tranfers are not as common as you may think. At the moment there is a very high profile for child sex cases in Britain and there is generally 0% sympathy on this type of conviction. Especially when there is a clean cut case such as this . They spend a lot of money advertising the fact that when you go abroard you are subject to your host countries laws. I have always been given a leaflet or seen big posters etc about breaking the law in other countries when applying for a visa, passport etc.

At the end of the day this 42 year sentence is a big one but remember it is reduced ! Also it sends out a clear message which is needed. Some of you have been bleating on about " less for murder " etc. Well that depends on where you are caught and sentenced, even in what state in America i think. Personally I believe in "Don't do the crime if you can't take the time"

I suspect that not just content with a bit of underage molesting, he was all in for making a few Quid filming and probably distributing it. Now thats not just misguided guys, thats a whole new ballgame and a pretty sick and devious one. I'm sure the kids were not on a bonus for copyright.

Frankly I think this time the Thai courts were spot on. Oh sure it's harsh and he's young etc etc but hey this is Thailand and not your respective homelands. In this case in my opinion thats good .

One small thing though, I wonder how the thinking is on underage girl sex out there. I don't mean the high and mighty attitude that this thread induces but just how many guys check the ID for how old the girls they pick up are. This story ran for about six hours on Sky news' website before it was taken off through lack of interest. Compare this with the attention given to American sniper killer's sentence or especially the Lockerbie killer's situation. I don't think the BBC even ran it.

Perhaps this is the ultimate sentence for a man convicted of such crimes against children.
