August 16, 201015 yr There are plenty of them in Thailand.. Trouble is they are popular so not that cheap.. And worse you have the <deleted> who convert them into cocktail bars.. Along the Pattaya bypass between the Railway Station and Siam country club there is a guy who specialises in restoring vans and bugs he always has a few in different stages of repair. Otherwise check out these sites Bangkokclassicar.com Thaiscooter.com Both have a classified section which can feature VW's for sale.. They are Thai language sites and to see pics on Bangkokclassicar you need to sign up to the forum.. It's easy enough even if you can't read Thai.. Just get your gf/bf or internet cafe staff to help.
August 16, 201015 yr Thanks Stingray; as mentioned I am in Chiang Mai but can visit of course. If any pict and details can be send? thanks Location used to be part of our ID on the left anyone know why it disappeared? It does help when responding. Edited August 16, 201015 yr by VocalNeal

If any pict and details can be send? thanks I can see 2 within a few kms of you in Chiang Mai, but both are the later 1 piece screen models. One looks original at a fair price, the other (incredibly) has an upright 4 cyl Japanese engine in the back! www.autonostalgia.info
