August 13, 201015 yr Can anyone recommend a counsellor or therapist in Bangkok that could help with mild depression / anxiety? I'm not sure what type of therapy I should have so any recommendations that way would be good too. Thanks.
August 13, 201015 yr There is a pinned notice in this forum that gives details of resources for counseling in Bkk. Any of the therapists listed can treat anxiety and depression. As for type of therapy, studies have shown that the rapport between patient and therapist is more important than the particular therapeutic technique (and many therapists take an eclectic approach anyhow). You need a therapist you feel understands you and in whom you have trust. If this is not the case with the first one you see, try another. Everyone is unique and the same therapist who does wonders for one person may not be right for anyother.

August 14, 201015 yr Author Thanks. PSI looks good. Couldn't see the location on their website. Does anyone know what area roughly they are in? I'm guessing sessions will be in the 3000 baht range?

Your guess is pretty accurate. Their offices are on soi 43, Just past the Tops supermarket and before Soi Thonglor. In general terms, they are after Asoke and before Ekamai. They do have a location map on their website. Look again. Hope this helps. Edited August 14, 201015 yr by Mobi
