When I saw the first machine coming out of the gruond I said to my friend: Well there goes this movie.....

Cruise did a good performance thou.

I have watched both, being a self proclaimed bit of a movie buff, and i've gotta tell you, they both really didn't live up to what was expected by me(due to media hype admittedly). War of the worlds seemed to be very general, not a lot of backbone to the story and would like to have seen it better explained. Having said that, i thought Tom Cruise played character very well and some of the special effects were well done. Overall i gave war of the worlds 3 1/2 stars :o

Fantastic Four's effects were good, the characters were ok and the story line was again ok but i would have liked to see the story expand from just the beginings of superherodom........ I gave it 3 stars.... :D

So far have only managed to catch bits of dodgy copies of War of the Worlds in restaurants around Koh Tao, looks good though, will keep my eye out for a better copy

I'd say overall, war of the worlds was good, up until the ending... that kinda caught me by surprise (although during the movie, i kept wondering how they were going to finish it (never read any of h.g wells's stuff before). without spoiling it for anyone...it almost seemed like they ran out of budget for the movie in regards to the ending. (although I must admit, it was an insightful and very plauseable ending)

agree with CitationX,the ending was too brief and short and not enough put in to it IMO.

Fantastic 4 was o.k, ntertaining enough but the recent Batman was etter
