Wifi Access In Lamai

Featured Replies

I need some technical enlightenment. My first choice bungalow in Lamai, wifi equipped, is no longer available for 4 months rent. My second choice bungalow has no wifi. I'm not sure if I can live without the internet. My use is for general browsing, skype, facebook etc. I'm not into downloading films or music.

Would I be right in thinking I could buy a wifi dongle from a phone company to solve my problem? If so which companys offer the best deal and how much would it cost? Or is there another better way to solve my problem?

Thanks in anticipation.

yes a 3g usb solution would be fine

but there is no 3g... the best dongle will be CAT cdma but it's expensive 4k for the dongle and 832 per month this is the only acceptable solution.

You can ask Matt from Bluechipwifi he have quiet good coverage in this area...

Thanks for that Geraz

CaptainWindsock - we have quite a lot of areas on Lamai covered.

I have sent you a pm.

More ideas still appreciated

Edge on the AIS mobile network will be fine for your needs. You can pick up a dongle for around 1,500 baht and they offer packages from by the minute to unlimited. You then simply top up as you would a pay as you go mobile with a card from 7/11 etc.
