July 12, 200520 yr Does anyone in there mid sixties have a Thai accident insurance policy? The type where you carry a card and this allows you to be treated at most hospitals. I found only one insurer, AIA, which would offer this insurance to people in my age bracket. The policy was fairly inexpensive but the maximum per accident is only 100,000 baht. I would like to buy insurance, at least, double or triple that amount. I especially like the idea of carrying a card on me at all times which entitles me immediate medical care – in case of an accident. I have other arrangements for health matters. It’s that emergency accident that concerns me. What is your experience? Aloha Siki
July 12, 200520 yr I'm with you on this. I will need accident cover, a broken leg cost me 120Kb plus outpatient fees 2 years ago. Will try BUPA (Thailand) when I get back. Have you tried BUPA?
July 12, 200520 yr Author I'm with you on this. I will need accident cover, a broken leg cost me 120Kb plus outpatient fees 2 years ago. Will try BUPA (Thailand) when I get back. Have you tried BUPA? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Called BUPA today and they do not have just an accident policy. They have a combination accident and health policy. This is what I was familiar with in the US. However, I have other arrangements for health problems so the accident policy is all I need. The lady at AIA said she would check on a higher amount of coverage. I will post it if she gets back to me. Aloha Siki
