UK, US, Europe and Australia are known for be more generous than Thai Embassies or consulates in Asia. ...just gotta try....... barryofthailand
You can obtain an O visa at the immigration headquarters in Bangkok. Bring your Thai wife with you,and your mariage certificate and your bankbook a letter from the bank if you do not meet the income requirements for support of a Thai relative. This will cost you 1900 baht. The extension will have to be applied for in youe home province, Another 1900 baht.

You can not normally obtain a non immigrant visa from immigration - what you can do is convert a valid visa (not 30 day entry) at a cost of 2,000 baht. 2. When you have a valid non immigrant O visa you can then extend your stay to support a Thai wife at the nearest immigration office if you have 400k in a bank account or 40k income per month at a cost of 1,900 baht. Both husband and wife must appear together and provide id/copies/bank letter/etc.
