Visa On Arrival How Many Days?

Greetings All,

I am from the USA and will be coming to Thailand around mid September...My question is can I get a 60 day tourist visa on arrival or do I have to apply for it back here in the States...

Arriving by air will get you a 30 day stamp only. For a 60 day tourist visa, you must apply at a Thai embassy or consulate.

And it is not a visa on arrival, as a US citizen you get a visa exempt entry if you don't have a visa.

Tourist visas are free at the moment and would be the way to go, apply by mail at a consulate. With a tourist visa you don't need a ticket out of the country within 30 days, which you would need if you don't have a visa.
