When you face difficult times, be it external such as a job loss, or something within the relationship itself, it is much easier to work through things with someone who thinks beyond what their next meal will be."

They simply crave intellectual stimulation.

Fortunately for me (or unfortunately, depending on your point of view), my wife will not have reached the menopausal stage by the time I'm dead and buried.

In Wales at the moment but want to move back to my manor in London where people do not

give a fuc_k where you are from or what you are up to................. I miss that

you can obtain british citizenship on the grounds of being born in Britian.

My IQ is so high, and I am so over-educated, that I would be "Marrying a moron" (comparatively speaking) wherever I was, when you are already 40 more than those around you another 10 doesn't make a lot of difference. Same goes for my 'mates' .......... (IQ isn't all that important IMHO)

And as the previous poster stated, by the time mine is no longer 'cute' I will be happy that she is strong enough to push my wheelchair around.

You shouldn't take generalisations so personally, and certainly not as an excuse to tell us all how intelligent you and your "mates" are.

Besides, entering a marriage to a Thai lady who doesn't speak English as "an arrangement" after knowing her for 3 weeks isn't very intelligent. I reckon Stickman's recommendations count double for you. You can come back and tell us your story of woe next year and add to the collective knowledge of how not to marry a Thai.

The answer to the Op's original question is quite simple really..

Those who assume everyone elses GF/wife is a bargirl do so because they themselves are uncable, or unable, to get anyone other than a bargirl themselves..therefor they want to believe that you are no different.

Because they themselves speak not one jot of thai and have rarely been out of tourist areas, they really have no idea of the real issues of meeting or socialising with a real thai...so therefor lies the need to seek out those who speak perfect english..

well..guess what??

No newsflash..a girl that speaks perfect english and hangs out in farang bars is only there for one reason..

A seriously educated girl who speaks perfect English but DOESNT hang out at farang bars probably has a pretty decent life already, and, i would think the last thing on her mind would be to scour seedy bars to find a hapless farang to hang out with..

Oh yeah,....and usually these same guys will tell you the only way to find a real thai girl who is not a ***** is to "go dutch" and not spend a penny on them.....right???

That way they can proudly say they DIDNT have to PAY for their wives..and everyone else's wife is a ***** .......right??

Coincidentally though, these are the same guys who end up having lifelong relationship with none other than MRS PALMER..Sitting alone in their one bedroom appartment wondering why their perfect (former) teerac has to continually make excuses as to why they cant hang out with them
