Samui Cable

Featured Replies

 Samui Cable sunk to an all time low last night. Once again no Formula 1, followed by a blank screen for the duration of the Tri Nations Rugby match between Australia and South Africa ! And how anyone can watch the sickening hunting channel that replaced Zone Reality is beyond me, it would be banned anywhere else. Watching rednecks gun down noble stags, bears and wildlife with their high powered weapons from a concealed hide, ranks as pure cowardice. At least natives of the land give the animal a fair chance by using spears, boomerangs etc. and imagine what children think when they see adults gunning down wildlife and then laughing over a "good shot". It's disgusting and Gov. Crusty will be knocking on their door tomorrow !

I would,nt pay 50 baht/month for cable, it's that crap. Does'nt even have a movie channel anymore, right?

I agree with Crusty the redneck channel is a joke i saw them shooting lions on it the other day .

I don't suppose it occurred to you to call them up and ask them to put the F1 on did it ? When I had cable they only did it the once. When I called into the shop and told them I was cancelling because of this they gave me the telephone number of the guy who switches channels fr the sports events.

He is Thai remember and to him the golf, F1 or rugby is nothing. Sometimes he falls asleep or takes out the VCD disc 1 and buts it back in again  How you can complain about something which is so cheap also amazes me.

Crusty is alsoreported to be the third richest Farang on Samui so would have expected him to have satellite to keep up with world affairs :o:D

I was seriously pissed off at not being able to watch the rugby last night, had to resort to a dodgy stream.

T'is not the first time this has happened with the rugby either, bastards!!!

cable is extremely expensive in samui, it's 449 baht per month, in belgium it's 500 baht but for digital...

For what you get, when its works that is, the cost is astronomical. Better to invest the money in some decent secondhand books. :D

I think I paid just over 2000 baht for 6 months. I didn't watch much mainly the F1 and it kept the missus happy as it had her favourite Issan music channel on. Not expensive in my opinion.

:annoyed: Bastards ! No F1 again last night. Samui Cable is way too expensive for what you get,, Baht 6,500 per month to supply 32 t.v.'s . Another Samui owned enterprise that loves taking the money, then provides unfair value !

If it's any consolation I settled down to watch the race as usual on UBC. Saw the first lap then the rain came and all I got was the " Searching for signal " message for ages. Back on by lap 8, not so bad, then the usual! The electric goes off when it rains crap!. Back on by lap 28 but missed most of the action like Button getting shunted off the track by Vettel and Alonso little trip. Hamilton did well though and makes the season even more interesting. Will just have to watch the repeat today to catch the laps I missed. :D

Yeah! And where's the Porn channel??????

Not just taking the money....he lives the life to the full......for research purposes only I'm sure!
