You also seem to have "forgotten" what happened before. The 1997 Russian-Ukrainian Friendship Treaty, often called the "Big Treaty," was a landmark agreement signed by Russian President Boris Yeltsin and Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma. It recognized both nations' borders, ensured territorial integrity, and established a strategic partnership. The Minsk Agreements (Minsk I and Minsk II) were a series of international treaties signed in 2014 and 2015 to stop the war in eastern Ukraine. Both deals failed to end the violence, but they defined the diplomatic framework for the region until Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022. Russia broke these assurances (signed) with the annexation of Crimea in 2014 and the full-scale invasion in 2022. And youre arument is a "gentleman's agreement". Really?!
