I logged out yesterday afternoon and each time I log on now, Still have to each time but that is another story, I press the " view new content " tab and it tells me there is none. I can't believe that nobody has posted anything in that time ? Something linked to the sign in problem ? Anybody else getting this ?

Yes, I have the same thing after logging in. It appears that it initiates a "Mark Thaivisa Read" action on logging in or out which means no unread (new content) posts show.

Goto My Settings. You can select the behavior of the "View New content"

Personally I prefer to show my new content that I have not read. Hope this helps.
