TM30 grey area questions

Featured Replies

Hi all

Regarding TM30 can anyone answer on the following scenarios

  1. Registered at rental in Thailand, make a foreign trip and return to previous rental. TM30 need to be redone?

  2. Registered at rental in Thailand, travel domestic, stay in hotel (who will file a TM30), return to rental, is TM30 need to be refiled?

Many thanks

Neither of those questions can be answered without knowing your immigration office and your visa status.

These are questions for your immigration office.

Some require a new TM30 ANYTIME you stay somewhere else and return.
Some only require a new TM30 if you leave Thailand and return.
Some don't require any new TM30 as long as you are returning to the same address.

OP, correct answers above.

What business will you be having with immigration.

I never do a TM30 after travel to another province or abroad however I always do a TM30 prior to dealing with immigration (CW) for example an extension.

Would be easy to include that in your OP. Why do folk do this vague stuff.

YES you need to do a TM30 for them.

Easy as you can use app.

However will only require TM30 for next interaction with immigration

That is @sandyf 's office, I believe. He may be able to answer your questions.

EDIT: Now seems academic in any event in the light of the preceding post!

A great pity that you chose not to make this fundamental point clear in your OP, I think.

And apologies to @sandyf for involving him unnecessarily in the event.

Indeed, clarity is of the essence, which many seem to ignore.

Chonburi immigration has 3 offices, Jomtien, Sri Ratcha and Koh Sichang, although the latter does not deal with expats, only maritime.

As far as TM 30 is concerned, only ever done the one, dated 2015, so not much experience on that topic.
