i am doing the visa thing in september with my wife and i will be staying in bangkok for a few days. Can anyone recommend a decent hotel/guesthouse near the british embassy ie within a short walking distancethat is friendly and helpful

i stayed at Jims lodge before wich is nearby but wasnt overly impressed.

any ideas would be welcomed
