Is there anywhere in CM that sells traditional wood working hand tools ie, planes decent saws etc

all the DIY related stores only sell a limited supply basic cheap saws etc no hand planes at all

You are right - I also never saw any good quality hand planers in Thailand. So I taught our staff to make them by themselves.

We can produce one for you; price for a 60 cm long one (made from heavy duty rose wood incl. blade): 1'000 THB.

Global has hand-planers, and a selection of saws (both in tool section @ right). Doubt the quality is assured and to chippy standard, though.

In the HomePro they sell Stanley saws which are pretty good.

Actually the OP might be interested in taking over my rarely used Stanley plane that I brought from Europe. I'm not using it as I don't do woodwork anymore.
