Calling From Thailand

Hello everybody,

I decided to have a 3 weeks vacation in Thailand. Can anybody advice me how can i make low cost phone calls back in US? I am staying at the Old Phuket Hotel. I used the phone from my room but the bill is way too big.

how is cell phone? , buy sim card .. and when you call , press code as 001 008 009 before?

Mobile is the way - can chat for a very long time for next to naught. (western standards anyways)

Calltalknow wants $.48 cents a minute to call my fiancee in the Philippines. Anyone know of a better deal than that? I'm moving to Pattaya in a few weeks. If possible, I'd like to get by with just a cell phone and skip the land line.
