webfact 160079
ThaiVisa.com and Pattaya One sign joint-venture deal for content and marketing PATTAYA: -- Pattaya’s newest publication, Pattaya One, has signed a joint-venture agreement with ThaiVisa.com who will provide exclusive online access to Pattaya One’s content, in a downloadable PDF file containing electronic versions of the newspaper, from October 1st. From that date, there will be a dedicated Pattaya One subforum of the Thai Visa website, hosting an electronic version of each edition of Pattaya One, which will be made available online to Thai Visa’s members, for reading and comment. The partnership will help to forge better communications and generate more interest on Pattaya-related issues for the greater benefit and entertainment of the expat community. “Our association with ThaiVisa.com is an important development for us as a new publication, and for our advertisers, and we are delighted to be working with ThaiVisa.com as the leading community/social networking English-language website in Thailand," says Howard Miller from Pattaya One. "We are also very excited about this venture," says Barry Main, marketing director of ThaiVisa.com. This extends the user base for us, and we see synergy effects and marketing possibilities working with a local news and content organisation. With this growth in the user base we hope to increase the variety of content and reach a wider section of the community”. The forum is located at http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/forum/157-pattayaone/ Featuring the best columnists and writers in Pattaya and Bangkok, Pattaya One is the latest addition to Pattaya One News’s growing media presence. It will represent a dynamic addition to the print media market in Pattaya. ThaiVisa.com owns Asia's largest expatriate-oriented community website, with over 100,000 registered members. Launched in 2002, the ThaiVisa Expat Forum today boasts more than 35,000 unique visitors per day and serves more than four and half million pages per month. In addition to its very active forum, ThaiVisa also operates hotel booking services, insurance services and online classified ads. ThaiVisa.com has similar news and content arrangements in place with The Nation (Public, BAK:NMG), AFP and Phuket Gazette. --- Pattaya One www.pattayaone.net Howard Miller Thaivisa www.Thaivisa.com Mr. Barry Main, Marketing Director -- Pattaya One 2010-09-24

asiawatcher 1689
There are always good and bad in all - Thai Visa seems mainly good and Pattaya is the bottom of the barrel. So let's see what transpires and how effective the strategic alliance is. But the Neils Colov mentality is a great example of how not to run a paper. Let's hope Pattaya One will work far better than gutter journalism.
rubl 9593
Welcome aboard, the more the merrier. And for those who fear the dark, you don't have to look at the new forum http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/forum/157-pattayaone/ It's perfectly admissible to completely ignore it. Mind you, in that case you won't know what you missed, now would you

Changian 26
"Featuring the best columnists and writers in Pattaya and Bangkok, Pattaya One ......." Really? Sure, outside those who have ever written for a real newspaper or who have any journalistic credentials. From 'PattayaOneTeam' on another thread: We aren't a "newspaper" as such, and certainly not a serious one
