Unfortunately one of our most loved/used kitchen knives was damaged the other day. Repairing it is way beyond my expertise and, I am assuming, beyond the average neighborhood sharpener's skills. It's not a cheap knife so I don't want to risk it with anyone short of an expert (although it might already be beyond repair)...

Any thoughts?

Search google for "knife sharpening bangkok post" and you will get to a recent article on food in Chinatown....go through the article and towards the bottom they mention a shop called Han Phong Kee. Not sure if they can help, but might be worth a visit.
