Silver Bullion Dealers In Bangkok

I'm looking for a place to sell 7kg of silver (in 1kg engelhard bricks) in BKK but all of the bullion dealers only want to deal in gold. Anyone have any recommendations on dealers of silver? Also what in regards to taxes here, I understand that silver is taxable in Thailand, so will the dealers offer much less to cover for this tax? Any experiences would be helpful.

There quite a few shops and dealers of silver around Bangkok. Few of the examples are listed in this link: http://www.hotfrog.in.th/Products/Silver-Dealers. You may also inquire from this site: http://www.bkkassay.com/eng/index.php as they also buy silver. Assuming that you are coming from overseas (as you are selling it on Engelhard bricks; it is mostly in grains for local sellers), your main hurdle will be the duty tax from importing these silver bars. It is generally subject to 35% Duty tax but depending on where you are importing it from, there are several Treaties (e.g. ASEAN, JTEPA) that renders the duty tax as exempt. The customs will require you to show the certificate of origin and the receipt from where and how much you have obtained/procured the product. The local silver dealers will also require these from you to show authenticity of the silver. You may inquire directly with the dealer as to how to proceed with the import. Most of them normally have import/export licenses and are quite stable on importing of silvers. Now assuming that you selling it locally through a registered company, you must have a license to sell these silver and official permission from the Ministry of Interior. Any income or profit derived from the sales of the silver from its original price is subject to corporate tax in Thailand.
