New Passport Before Ext. Of Stay Based On Retirem. ?

planning to apply for my first ever 1 year extension of stay based on retirement end of next month

my passport has only 2 empty pages left

should I get a new one before I apply?

If yes will I have to carry the old passport with the one year multiple O visa every time I leave the country?

then I would rather get some extra pages from my embassy

The extension stamp is only small so there will be plenty of room.

If you were to apply for a Re Entry Permit that would take up a most of the page.

If you obtain an extension of stay the visa will never be used again - your extension of stay plus re-entry permit will be required for travel. If your passport has some years to run the extra pages would be the best option (if available). Once on extensions of stay they can be transferred into a new passport so only the valid passport would be required for travel (along with a valid re-entry permit).
