Nitrogen And Shock Rebuilding

Does anybody know if compressed nitrogen is available for repairing shocks? In the US it's common to rebuild shocks, I'm told it can be done here, but several mechanics have warned against it. One reason mentioned was the lack of compressed nitrogen. I'm guessing another reason is that parts would be repaired, rather than replaced.

Has anyone rebuilt a rear shock?

I don't see why there should a problem getting nitrogen in Thailand. There is a lot of Oil & Gas logistics requirements for it (industrial grade, low & high purity). Hospitals use medical grade nitrogen (high purity) which I have bought before (not in Thailand) when I couldn't source low purity gas. The other part is the specialized equipment in most cases that is required to charge shock reservoirs and to be able to carry out the work in an intrinsically safe environment,

There is a supposedly reputable bike shop in Bangkok that is the Ohlins rep for Thailand and they never once answered my emails on a spring upgrade and overhaul for the rear Ohlins on my 999S. So as far as I am concerned, they can eat sh*t & die and I will never try to bother them again with my expensive requests.

Shock charging is straight forward, as long as you have the technical ability, equipment and facilities to carry out the recharge. Most small & large motorcycle workshops are dire pits with no thought of layout and cleanliness.

Apologies, I'm starting to ramble. What I have noticed over here is it is a lot easier and less mentally challenging for the supposed 'motorcycle mechanic' to swap items out then try and carry out a successful and fully functional overhaul.
