Queen's heart 'back to normal'

Her Majesty the Queen's heartbeat was reported as normal yesterday, when a large number of people including Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva and his wife went to Chulalongkorn Hospital to wish Her Majesty a quick recovery.

The Queen was admitted on Thursday night after developing an irregular heart-beat. Doctors treated Her Majesty with high frequency radio waves, and her heartbeat returned to normal on Friday night, the Royal Household Bureau said yesterday.

Abhisit and his wife Pimpen presented flowers and signed the visitors' book to wish the Queen a rapid recovery.

Other high-profile persons to show up at the hospital's Sor Kor Building lobby included Deputy PM Suthep Thaugsuban and Maj-General Walit Rojanapakdi, commander of the Second Cavalry Division.

Thailand’s Queen leaves Chulalongkorn Hospital: Royal Household Bureau

BANGKOK, Oct 3 – Thailand’s revered Queen Sirikit left King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital Sunday afternoon and returned to Siriraj Hospital after being admitted for a medical check-up and treatment late Thursday, according to the Royal Household Bureau.

The Queen, accompanied by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, left King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital at 4:09pm after being admitted to hospital late Thursday night on medical advice for a detailed medical checkup due to an irregular heartbeat.

After physicians treated her with ultra high frequency radio waves, her condition returned to normal and her heartbeat functioned normally after doctors treated her with ultra high frequency radio waves.

When the Queen, dressed in a blue blouse and a pair of grey trousers, appeared together with Princess Sirindhorn, her subjects along the way shouted encouragement by voicing “Long Live the Queen."

Later the 78-year-old Queen returned to Siriraj Hospital where King Bhumibol Adulyadej has been receiving treatment and staying since September 19 last year.

His Majesty the King on Friday evening visited Her Majesty the Queen who was being treated on the 20th floor of the Queen Sirikit Building.

During her stay at Chulalongkorn Hospital, privy councillors, the prime minister, and other prominent figures and the wider public thronged to sign get-well books at the Queen Sirikit Building. (MCOT online news)

HM the Queen returns to Siriraj Hospital

BANGKOK (NNT) -- The Bureau of the Royal Household issued the second announcement, saying that HM the Queen had returned to Siriraj Hospital for recuperation following a successful treatment of irregular heartbeat.

HM the Queen, accompanied by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, on Sunday afternoon proceeded from King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital to Siriraj Hospital, following her checking in on Thursday, 30 September 2010, for medical checkup and treatment of Arrhythmia.

Personalities and members of the general public kept streaming in to the So Ko Building of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital to wish Her Majesty a speedy recovery. They included the representative of the Sultan of Kelantan, Malaysia, and the Privy Council led by its President, General Prem Tinsulanonda.The signing of get-well books for the general public and significant personalities and high-ranking officials were open up to 18.00 hours on Sunday.
