Search Function Not Working

Thank you for reporting.

I cannot recreate your issue, can you please specify what you are doing to get the white screen?

Do you use advanced search and select Pattaya forum from the list, or do you search when you are inside the Pattaya forum?

Also could you post the URL of your search results page, this will help us understand where the error occurs, the link will not work if you click it, but it gives some parameters that might give clues.

The search was when I was inside the Pattaya Forum.

but also from the Forum Search under the Forum drop down menu when I selected search ALL forums.

I'll go back to there and try a search again and post the url

Edit http://www.thaivisa....h&fromMainBar=1

and

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?app=core&module=search&section=search&do=search&fromsearch=1

you are on XP it looks like, I don't have any XP machines to test with. Because it works fine on my Win7 with IE 8

I see that there is a javascript error happening (bottom left of your screenshot).

Could you see the details for that and post them here? (Double-click the text or icon and a box should appear with details).

Thanks for all the details PattayaParent. Really appreciated.

We cannot reproduce the error, we have tried all sorts of setups, also on XP with IE8, and every time the search results shows up with no problems.

Yes i got the same problem here, using Vista not XP and IE8, the search result is just a blank white page with an error message at the bottom left corner:

  • 2 weeks later...

I too cannot use the search function; either from the top right on the main forum page or from the main search page without getting this error message;

Internet Explored cannot open the Internet site

(It gives the normal http stuff for t/v, then says) php?app=core&module=search&do=search&fromMainBar=1.

Operation aborted

.

FWIW: I also run XP Pro, sometimes I get that one of my search words was too short, (even if none of the words are too short), but after I retype the search it will give me that message. :( ..
