3 foreign entities allowed to issue Bt22bn baht bonds

By The Nation

The Public Debt Management Office announced that during October 1, 2010 and March 31, 2011, three foreign entities are allowed to issue baht bonds worth a total of Bt22 billion.

They are Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), worth Bt4 billion; ING Bank NV (ING), worth Bt10 billion; and the Export - Import Bank of Korea (KEXIM), worth Bt8 billion.

Foreign entities are allowed to issue baht bonds, as the Finance Ministry's plan to widen the issuer base and increase the number of products to local investors. Interested entities now can submit applications four times a year, in February, May, August and November.
