Tolley
They keep happening and nothing ever seems to get done. There should be a designated area for jet ski operation away from where people swim. I wonder if the jet ski operator was Thai and if he will he be charged.

The bigger question is will they catch the culprit. I certainly hope so and hope he faces severe justice. I feel very sorry for the family and friends of this poor Iranian victim, what a senseless tragedy and the criminal behavior of the driver makes it even worse. TheWalkingMan
Before I was eating at the Beer Garden and I mentioned to girly that someone was going to get killed because of these jet skis. Of course she did not believe me. RIP I hope, but maybe nothing will change, that they will cordon off an area for swimming only.
jobsworth
Re: Pattaya and Jomtien There are closed areas surrounded by orange and white marker buoys where swimmers can go and jet skis should not go but sometimes go. Most of the swimming areas are shared with tour boats and jet skis. If you swim at all far out like when the tide is low you become a target. It is really more like crossing a busy main road. You need to look left and right. Also some jet ski drivers deliberately target a swimmer and then turn away at the last moment.
