Thinking of staying at Ibis in Pattaya sometime this month as they seem ok and reasonable, a few questions:

How much is the wifi in the room and is it reliable?

What's the pool like?

How far is it from walking street etc?

thx :)

It's basically on 2nd Road and soi 1 [just north of] so it's at the other end of Beach Road (and up the block) from Walking Street. Rooms are cheap and clean but very small...also lots of Asian and South-Asian tour and family groups stay here. Pool is nice...don't know about WiFi.

ok thanks, do you know anywhere similar price and services? Wifi is a must for me though, can be in lobby though as long as there is a decent place to sit with my laptop...

Syaed twice. The current offers make for good value.

Small rooms/wet room/balcony but adequate and comfortable.

Confirm re Asians - many family rooms.

Best advice - get a sea view room 7th floor. It makes all the difference. Although o 2nd Road there is a longish access road which puts the front of the hotel half way towards Beach Road. You have Holiday Inn, A1 and Amari almost in front but the sea view is good.

Pool not large but pool area pleasant enough.

I paid around 900 Baht which has got to be good value.(website is showing 1300 at the moment)

The Ibis hotels in Bkk have free wifi in the lobby but charge for it in rooms.
