Lost Backpack 85Km East Of Phitsanulok On Rt 12

On Wed. Oct. 6th, I was on my motorcycle about 80 km East of Phitsanulok, heading toward Phitsanulok. Late afternoon I stopped to put on rain gear, then rode off leaving my backpack on the side of the road. When I returned an hour or so later it was not there.

In the Backpack there was:

Dell laptop, 1 year old.

Australian passport

Australian Birth Certificate

Australian $

American Green Card

Illinois drivers licence

American Social Security Card

American $

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry about that happening but unless you're super lucky, I'd not plan on seeing any of those items again. Reckon they've been trashed by who ever picked up your bag.

If you haven't already done so, start the replacement process.

Here's the url for replacement of a Green Card: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=b3f7ab0a43b5d010VgnVCM10000048f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

Wow! Expensive! The USCIS has an office in Bangkok, don't know if you can file the form there or not.

If your plans include returning to the U.S. you might need a "Returning Resident" type visa. Here's some info on that one: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1333.html

Good luck.

Be more careful next time. Someone could destroy your life with this info. I am guessing that all your banking and personal details are readily available on the laptop too. :(
