Heng
Run the card (or whatever) game at your place. Be the house. Losses and gambling addiction sorted. p.s. make sure you live somewhere where it's legal, and stay small time enough to where it doesn't attract attention. If you find that you are having to order custom made chips, then you're probably running too big an operation. needforspeed
you can't stop bargirls from "gambeling" or gambling Next time choose better. What a w*nker....where in the OP's post does he say his wife/GF is/was a bar girl ?? Let me guess your married to a hi-so, doctor with connections in the goverment/police/army (tick the appropriate) and her father owns a brewery.. It dont say BG in the op post..But come on open up your eyes..how many cases have you seen or heard of where BG girl loses house and car gambling etc. And dont quote me on this as i have been there i have seen it time and time again and its the same old story. Now i have a hi so lady if you want to call her one of them she as a good job good education and is far to busy working so she not has to much time for sitting around all day doing <deleted> all where she as a opportunity to gamble .. Why do stupid farangs give so much money to there woman in the first place so they dont have to work. then they have plenty of time for gambling .<deleted> Gambling isn’t a addiction only for the so called bargirls, gambling is a widespread problem. Bargirls on lottery and cards and the business man in casino’s on currency trade, property and stock markets. Not much off a difference between the two, the bargirls lost her house in the province inclusive her buffalo and the business man lost his savings, house and after his wife. Also there isn’t been any prove that people with more free time are on higher risk to get addicted to any kind of gambling. There are a dozen off “Famous” Thai movie/ TV starts with some gambling problems as well, so all levels. This doesn’t help the OP i know, isn’t so easy. Addiction is stronger than all your actions and treads against her, she need help from professionals if she is really addicted.

Tv stars are prostitutes as much as bargirls.. they just dont sit in a bar and wait for 1000baht. Big % of them bone their way up to a tv job Big % of them bone their way to keeping said job It's thailand and there's no talent on TV, the only way to get a job there is to look good and open your legs or very seldomly, be lucky. HC82
Tell the police when and where they are playing and send them all to jail. Or let your wife have some time with her friends. I'm sure the games are much more about their gossip than the game or money. Or keep manipulating her with threats.

Good points by Welsh1 though. A lady who works and contributes will have more respect for the money she has earned. That's not to say that the gambling addiction cannot strike, but it is less likely that she will find herself in a situation where those doors are open. For the Op: Don't give your wife the money. If she has her own money then thats her choice. Get her help if she wants it, if not you really have to start looking after yourself and your son. Maybe it's time to start taking legal measures to protect yourself ?

SamboVilla
My girlfriend loves gambling, she's a uni student, not hi-so or a bar girl. She plays dummy a few nights a week, if I don't want to give her money I don't and she understands. I understand the OP does not have the choice of not giving money as she is his wife. Fortunately she's pretty good and normally wins, but this isn't the point I suppose i'll have to keep an eye on it as it could become a problem in the future. I can't say the same thing hasn't been through my head about the TV stars, a lot of the women aren't good at acting, just good at looking good, and I DO know that "blowjob promotions" go on in England. But I would also like to know where he got his big % information from.
cdnvic
This has unfortunately degenerated into a bargirl argument. The original intent is lost so it's time to close it.
