I fully agree about the oops fund and that is how I am paying. My med coverage is through the CDN government so it is a little cheaper. Youare right though the probelm is that you have to have space on a credit card or some finance to pay up front. I think there is a fine line and cutoff point where, yes, it is just as easy to set up a med fund rather than the med ins. However, if people do not have the oops funds, I think it is important to start with med insurance at the beginning and build your fund. It is just like retirement; many people have not set aside money for retirement and are living day to day. It is scarey but they need something and I would rather they pay med ins than GO FUNDME
