Red Shirt Faction Leader Warns Some Red Shirts May Become Suicide Bombers

I'm sorry, I just can't see how some people can't see the sarcasm in TheyCallMeScooter's posts after just a few lines.

When I first read that paragraph, I was thinking, "He can't be serious"... then I realised he wasn't serious.

They say sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.. some say it's the highest form of intelligence. I find this sarcasm very witty as, if taken with the sarcasm with which it was meant, it makes one smile in a situation that encourages only frowns.

There is clearly no justification for any parent putting their unwitting child unhappily in the line of live ammunition.

But it was for a good cause. To enable a thieving billionaire to retrieve his stolen loot.

Disclaimer: Posted utilizing sarcasm's brother, facetiousness.

Commenting on the kid that Buchholts posted a picture of above and TheyCallmeScooters answer

I find TheyCallmeScooters answer appalling, I hope there is more sarcasm in it than I see.

I unequivocally assure you that there is.

The line between if it was real sarcasm or not I think can be answered by the below question. If the answer is Yes, then it was sarcasm, if the answer is No, then it wasn't enough sarcasm after all

Good, then we can all three agree that the father should have his custody and vistitation rights removed and he should not be allowed to see his son again, right?

Does this meet your standard for sarcasm, especially the last sentence ?

From http://www.nationmultimedia.com/home/2010/11/09/politics/Thaksin-cool-on-Sanan’s-bid-for-reconciliation-30141841.html

Somchai Wongsawat, Thaksin’s brother-in-law, vowed yesterday to bring Thaksin back to Thailand.

“I support the reconciliation plan but it’s not that easy because it involves many people. I don’t expect 100 per cent success but we should try,†Somchai said.

He said the government should take a leading role in the plan, have an open mind, and not set too many prerequisites, otherwise the mission would fail.

“As far as I know, Thaksin has no conditions. He would never mind his difficulties as long as the people are happy,†he said.

Ha,

The last sentence is just pathetic lies, nothing else

He said the government should take a leading role in the plan, have an open mind, and not set too many prerequisites, otherwise so that the mission would fail.

Now that's my language :)

You'll have to take my word for it that you do not understand how 'sarcasm' is identified.

But you can rest assured that the answer to your question is "Yes". An answer one struggles to give, without resorting to sarcasm.

They say sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.. some say it's the highest form of intelligence.

pfft I think it was Oscar Wilde who said that. Or maybe Shakespeare? Doesn't matter. I doubt those two buffoons would be able to put a witty sentence together, even if they worked on one together. Hardly a 'authority' on matters of 'wit', is my 'point'.

My sarcasm is rarely witty because it's usually the product of sheer fury frustrated by circumstance. Not exactly a breeding ground for wit. Not that I would know where such grounds might be found, or even what they look like, myself. Not whilst sober, in any case.

I can understand how it can be misinterpreted, especially by those for whom English is not a native language. It is easy to mistake sarcasm for horror, when one is surrounded by horrors (which are not - remotely - sarcastic or satirical).

There is clearly no justification for any parent putting their unwitting child unhappily in the line of live ammunition.

You would think so, right?

I thought so. I had thought even stating the above fact would flirt dangerously with redundance.

I thought wrong, it would seem. On both counts. Apparently, one can make a justification for using children as human shields. And they do, quite often in fact. Granted, it's largely tacit justification via refusal to denounce or even acknowledge the horror (somewhat 'understandably', due to problematic obstacles one encounters when attempting to defend the indefensible). But whilst Mrs Fritzl had some - tenuous - claims to mitgiating ignorance, and was able to convince all and sundry that she was oblivious to reality for decades (hmm)....I admit I'm at a loss when I attempt to discover just how or from where the UDD / Red Shirts / sympathisers of / nonchalant and/or neutral parties find their goddamn nerve.

How pathetic that these retards use the most cowardly of all tactics to terrorise their fellow Thais and murder anyone within a yard of their stupidity.

Stupidity is of course the trademark of the Red Shirt Movement, their leader, the craven Shinawatra reptile, the stupidist and most cowardly of them all.

This most recently banal of threats undeniably bears the Shinawatra trademark.

Take the reptile out.

NOW!

Stupid???

Thaksin is certainly not stupid.

It is people like you who think he is, that end up underestimating him and his cohorts, look down at them and belittle their supporters/rank and file.

That is what they like to see in their enemies, that is why him and his like are dangerous, cunning.

You obviously think you are not stupid, think you are smarter than him.

When the dust settles, it is usually those we underestimate that are sat in the top chair.

Thaksin has support and he has money. If he thinks he can win?? He will spend all his wealth for once back in power like 99% of politicians he will have his hand in the till.

I think Thaksin will be back.

The old saying that "People get the goverment they deserve" could apply to him and his lackeys.

A lot of old money can see that Thaksin is still around and has support, there will be overtures through 3rd parties to sound them out. You have to look at secret talks, IRA, Taleban, ETA. to name a few.

CNN, BBC to name some others.

There is a lot of money to be made. Don't kid yourself into thinking 'interested' parties are limited to fringe groups.

(edit: I missed the word 'old'. I see you are aware of the Obvious. Apologies for my assuming otherwise.)

Poor fellow.

He's in for the shock of his life when he attempts to make a citizen's arrest on his brother in Dubai.

It's sad that I know Thaksin better than his own family does (I've never met the man), but I'm quite certain that Thaksin will not quickly exchange his 7-star hotel suite for a Thai prison cell. Not without some serious resistance.

There will likely be a godawful struggle. Perhaps even a fight. I'll be cheering for the underdog.

No doubt many will cheer for the dog.

The funniest jokes are the ones that are closest to the truth.

Another reason to dismiss Jatuporn as a stand-up comedian.

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.

JFK 1962

Good that peaceful revolution is possible in Thailand and that democracy was restored after the previous prime minister was oustered in a non-violent coup a while back then, right?

There has already been attempts to return Thailand to minority rule by the means of intimidation, anarchy and terrorism this year, cheaply disguised as "peaceful" revolution. Violent revolution as a means of removing democracy in Thailand has already been tried this year and it failed.

You threat is as hollow as philw's posts are stupid Asa...
