Automatic Transmission Specialist In Cm Area

Featured Replies

Trying to keep an old Honda Civic going. I've got a good mechanic for general repairs and maintenance, specialists shops for radiator, brakes, mufflers, tires and alignment, body work, but now need an automatic transmission specialist. Anyone out there have a tip for me?

There is an old thread on this forum started by MaeJoMan where the only leads were to send it to Bangkok, but just wondering if that has changed and anyone has new information. Thanks, don

Nothing new that I have heard of Don. I ended up getting my garage to buy a replacement transmission fom Bangkok and ship it up here, and instal it. That was probably a couple of years ago now, and it's running fine with several hundred thousand Km's on it already.

There is a good shop directly opposite the old Makro on the super Highway. I think the name is NP. It has a big yellow sign. I've been using them for years. Nice people, good work, fair price.

All up 17,000 baht for the complete transmission and fitted, but I had all new rubbers and CV joints on it, plus some other minor things while the front end was down. All in all, I was very happy with it. Probably cost just as much to strip the transmission down and replace the torque convertor and new bands, if anybody was capable of the work.
